Wellness Hotel Alpenhof - Zermatt

The family-run 4-star superior Wellness Hotel Alpenhof is located in the centre of Zermatt, opposite the Sunnegga Cable Car Station and a 5-minute walk from the Gronergrat Railway.

The Wellness Hotel Alpenhof hotel has 5 floors and each room is equipped with a minibar, cable TV, free WiFi, a safety deposit box, a seating area, and a bathroom. Most rooms also have a balcony.

A diverse selection of gourmet menus and freshly prepared food is served at the restaurant. Local and international wines, as well as little snacks can be enjoyed in the new hotel lobby.

Guests can relax in the Spa area with natural light, a large indoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna, steam baths and a tropical shower. A beauty salon and relax rooms are available as well at the Wellness Alpenhof.

The refined smoking lounge, offers fine digestives, smoky whiskys and a selection of cigars. In winter, the piano bar is the perfect place to end the day sitting at the fireplace, enjoying a cocktail and listening to the pianist.

A free transfer from and to the Zermatt Train Station is available on the days of arrival and departure, respectively.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.

Please note that Zermatt is a car-free village. Guests can park their car in Täsch (garage parking) and continue to Zermatt by train or taxi.

Renovation Alpine Chic Rooms

Until mid-December we are renovatingAlpine Chic rooms with a complete new look. The entire side of the Hotel above the bar will therefore be closed, the Spa, Restaurant, Bar and smoking lounge stay open as per usual. Some construction noise will be expected.
Renovation work will be done weekdays, during business hours.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note thatSpecial Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Deluxe Double Room (2 Adults). This room comes with a sofa, a working desk, a safety deposit box, a coffee machine and a minibar with free soft drinks. Please note that a balcony is not available. ;

Design Superior Room (3 Adults). This triple room features a seating area, minibar and a sofa bed for the third person. ;
Alpine Chic Room (2 Adults). This double room features a seating area, an open-plan bathroom and a minibar. New from December 2025: A complete re-design with walk-in shower, sofa bed and minibar. ;
Design Junior Suite. These junior suites are located on the 4th and 5th floor and come with a living area with a sofa and a separate bedroom. ;
Penthouse Deluxe Suite. This split-level suite boasts 2 furnished balconies, a living area with a sofa bed, 2 bathrooms, an open fireplace, a TV, a minibar, and a dining table. It features 2 separate bedrooms and for a surcharge, a wine cabinet with a selection of wines is available, as well. ;
